Carlos A. Scolari is a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Languages of Communication from the Università Cattolica di Milano. He is a tenured professor in the Department of Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Among other works he has published: Hacer Clic. Towards a sociosemiotics of digital interactions (2004), Hipermediaciones. Elements for a theory of interactive digital communication (2008), The end of the mass media. His articles have been published in Communication Theory, New Media & Society, International Journal of Communication, Semiotica, Information, Communication & Society, Journal of Visual Literacy, Communication and Society, deSignis, Sign and Thought, among other scientific journals.
