Bioremediations

Biorremediaciones is a project born from the belief that healing our relationships with all living beings is the most urgent and transcendent commitment of humanity.

The way to do this is through an interdisciplinary research project that builds imaginaries of sustainable futures. Focusing on rethinking our technology, so that it produces environmental healing instead of producing pollutants, with the intention of reconfiguring an anthropocentric view of life to achieve a co-dependent and inter-species awareness among all the inhabitants of this wounded earth.

The final form of the project consists of a series of photographs of living sculptures, which investigate the crossbreeding between digital fabrication technologies and biomaterials. Using fungi that have the ability to degrade environmental pollutants and remediate the biosphere.
