Ambulante is a non-profit organization, founded in Mexico in 2005 by Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna and Pablo Cruz, and since 2014 in Colombia, dedicated to supporting documentary film as a tool for social and cultural transformation. It currently organizes the largest documentary film festival in Latin America and one of the most important in the world: Ambulante Gira de Documentales. Itinerant in nature, the festival takes place in various locations offering high-quality content and impact, awarded at the most important festivals around the world and seeks to create spaces for expression and reflection that allow for constructive dialogue with various actors in society and foster a participatory, informed and critical audience.
