Priscila Farias is a graphic designer, researcher and professor of design. Her main interests, both as a designer and as a researcher, are typography, type design, communication and semiotics. His current research projects focus on graphic memory (first typographers in the city of São Paulo and printing workshops, in Latin America visual and print culture), and typographic landscapes (public letters and architectural epigraphs). She has a BA in Graphic Design (FAAP), an MA and a PhD in Communication and Semiotics (PUC-SP), and was a visiting scholar at Indiana University Bloomington and the University of the Arts London. She is a professor at the University of São Paulo School of Architecture and Urban Studies (FAU USP), where she coordinates the Visual Design Research Laboratory (LabVisual) and supervises undergraduate, master's, and doctoral research students.
