        Carlos Pineda

        Graduated from the Concordia University of Montreal in Design Art. He is a permanent collaborator of the Department of Visual Design at the University of Caldas, in Manizales, Colombia. In 1993 he was invited by the University of Guelph, Ontario to give photography workshops at the Faculties of International Development and Fine Arts, at York University in Toronto and the Cross Cultural Learner Center in London, Ontario. He has been a collaborator in different magazines: Specials of the magazine Semana in Colombia; Zazpika in the Basque Country, Spain; Die Furche in Austria; Editorial Ulysse (travel guides), Women and Environment, Voir and in various publications of the University of Montreal in Canada. He has participated in different books by Villegas Editores. The book “Cafés de Colombia”, Villegas Editores, ISBN 978-958-8306-22-3 of which he is a photographer together with Andrés Mauricio López, ranked first in the Gourmand Cookbook Awards, Paris, 2009 in the Juices & Beverages Category Non-alcoholic and Second Place in the Latino Book Awards, New York 2010 – Book Expo America, USA. The book has been translated into English under the title “Coffees of Colombia” ISBN 978-958-8306-79-7.
