        Philippe Guionie

        France
        Philippe Guionie lives and works in Toulouse. Historian by training, he claims a social and documentary frame on the themes of memory and identity constructions. His personal themes are regularly presented in galleries and festivals in France and abroad: panorama of lakeside civilizations in Africa and black diasporas in South America, portraits of ancient African fighters, reflection on urban shores in Europe, voyages around the Black Sea... He works regularly. with national newspapers and magazines. Winner of several photographic prizes and scholarships (Roger Pic 2008 prize, Young Artist mission 2005), he published in 2006 a sound book entitled Ancient African combatants (Anciens combatants africains), in the Les Imaginayres editions (foreword by Gaston Kelman). Supported by Culturesfrance, a wide-ranging exhibition was presented in various museums in France and abroad: the Museum of the Resistance in Lyon, the Confluences space and the Grand South Gallery of the Senate in Paris, French cultural centers in West Africa.

        Francesco Giusti

        Italy
        Freelance documentary photographer oriented towards investigation of social realities, communities and identity related issues. In the last years he has worked on migrants and asylum seekers issues in Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. Among other awards his project "Sapologie" won the 2nd Place Prize for Arts and Entertainment Stories at the 2009 World Press Photo Awards. He has recently worked in Egypt and Tunisia during the 2011 arab uprisings. He exhibits the recent series IN CASE OF LOSS which documents photo-ID's attached to the bags and luggage of foreign migrant workers fleeing Libya.
