The National Learning Institute is an autonomous Costa Rican state institution dedicated to para-university technical education. It offers different training courses in many locations throughout the country, focusing mainly on operator and technical studies that do not require having completed secondary education. Some of these are: English, tourism, cabinetmaking, computing, food handling, electromechanics and digital animation. The INA was created by Law No. 3506 on May 21, 1965, reformed on May 6, 1983 with its Organic Law.
