Jenna Pollack Lecture
Tuesday June 16 10:30 am - 11:30 am
I will discuss how my current research probes the interface between dance and engineering in performance. Our process considers collaborative language-building, iterative design, and unresolvable questions as we construct large wooden boxes to join dancers in a narrative through delight, impermanence, fragility, and urgency. In building these structures to ultimately serve as both objects and characters, we are looking at their material physics and their autonomous capacities as a distinct dramaturgy.
