Magdiela Hermida Duhamel

Magdiela Hermida Duhamel is an animation professional with production experience from page to post and everything in between. Throughout her career at various studios (FX Networks, DreamWorks Animation, Marvel Studios, Warner Brothers Animation, FOX,) she has contributed to multiple projects that include "Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia", "Uglydolls" and Marvel Studio's first animated series, " What If...?" She is currently the Production Manager for Nickelodeon's The Casagrandes. Magdiela champions and advocates for diversity both in front and behind the camera and her true passion is helping open doors into the industry for underrepresented groups. To help achieve this goal, Magdiela founded LatinX in Animation, a non-profit organization under the Latino Film Institute created to build a community for Latinx professionals who work in different roles throughout Animation, VFX, and Gaming industries. She currently serves as its Co-Director.

Laura Benavidez

Queer artist and animation filmmaker, MA student in the animation of the Estonian Academy of Arts. She is interested in poetic experimentation through drawing, comics and animation, she works with the body to question concepts of gender, sexual identity, intimacy and memory. She currently works as a freelance animator.

Juan Manuel Acuna Guzman

Social Communicator from Universidad del Valle, he initially worked in documentary photography (El proyecto del diablo, 1997, Tiempo de miedo, 2001) before finding 3D animation as an audiovisual tool. From this new path arises El último coup del caballero (2004) was the first short film to be exhibited in national theaters under the umbrella of the New Film Law (2003), and which was the winner in the category of best animated short film at the international festival movie theater in Viña del Mar. He is currently doing doctoral studies in design, related to the relationship between human dramaturgy and animated dramaturgy. 

Laura Julieth Moncada Aldana

2d and stop motion animator for 7 years, graduated in Audiovisual and Multimedia Production at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and student of Interactive Design at the same institution, through her degree project with an emphasis on research she seeks to integrate her professional profile with the student, taking the opportunity to explore, experiment and learn a little more about the world of video games.
