He has played with many prestigious orchestras and ensembles around the world, including Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt, Germany), London Sinfonietta (London, United Kingdom), Ensemble Intercontemporain (Paris, France), Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). Tomoko's unique approach to the piano has inspired several composers, including Louis Andriessen, to write works for her. For two decades she has also developed as a visual artist, which has led her to rethink the concert space as a setting for installations and performances, in which music is combined with contemporary dance, fashion and visual art.
