interactive design - media art Cesar Leon / Colombia http://www.offon.name/

OFFON is a sound and visual experiment that involves musical pieces composed by the author who performs analog and semi-modular synthesizers live while behind the scenes generating generative visual projections reactive to the sound and rhythm of the music. The genre of the compositions is a kind of krautrock and minimal electro. The visual compositions are landscape abstractions and geometric cartographies.

      iFib

Paul Pignon & Graziella Tomasi / France
      www.soundcloud.com/paul-pignon

iFib refers to a generic framework in which the base is eight segments on which eight different instruments are played, for increasingly shorter durations, the durations are in the proportions of an inverse Fibonacci series: 21, 13, 8, 5, 3, 2, 1, 1, [0]. In the incarnation that is presented at the Festival, the musical part is integrated with a graphic animation created by Graziella Tomasi which is reflected, following the same duration pattern. Depending on the space available, the performance may include my physical movement through space, the distance intervals again being proportional to Fibonacci.

      Tele–Active Spaces

Mario Humberto Valencia, Óscar 'Tata' Ceballos, Juan David Rubio, Cristian Lizarralde, Michael Dessen, Rolando Cori, Elizabeth Granados, Yovanny Betancur–Santa, Jaime César Espinosa & Ivani Santana / Universidad de Caldas – Universidad del Valle – University of California – University of Chile / Colombia, USA, Chile & Brazil
Thanks to advanced high-speed networks and optimized programs for streaming audio, video, control signals, and visual manipulation, the realization of telematic works (performances) is achieved, in which creators, performers, and participants (public) meet They are geographically distant but connected in a space delineated by each telematic byte. The online performance amplifies the environment and generates an "active TV space", globally made up of the artists and the meeting place with the participants and the audience. “Tele-espacios activos” (TEA) proposes the production and realization of a group of telematic performances in which ensembles of participants distributed in various geographical locations contribute, propose and develop collaborative telematic works. Each work is based on elements of live interaction and consists of a sound-musical part, a visual one with live video manipulation, one more of corporal expressions and a last technological one that addresses topics from computer vision to BCI that are integrated with the artistic and aesthetic proposals of each work.

The Francisco José de Caldas Science Center is a space for citizen construction that promotes the Science + Technology + Innovation intersection between scientists and social groups, as a concrete action for the social appropriation of science, technology and innovation through of the use of collaborative tools to search for alternatives to problems in the Department of Caldas. It links concepts related to collaborative thinking and strategies for the collective construction of knowledge and consolidates a community of problem solvers (Makers) based on research results, social needs, knowledge of the local culture or specific challenges for the development of skills; that give rise to a space for dialogue of knowledge between social groups, experts, students and creative industries.

      UMID

      Gabriela Reyes - Jorge Flores
      Mexico

ÚMIDO [Wet] is a sonorous, corporal, visual and visceral performance that has the human being as its main theme. From the study of the contemporary body involved with the so-called Digital Humanity, we seek to explore the potential of the physical body, the body of the image and the body of sound through technological mediation. The body is presented in dialogue with the city, with the other, with itself. Body heard in the soundscape of the city and its organic sounds. Body seen as a person and as a cell. The body was felt as a subject and as a political body.

This artistic proposal is organized as a system where everything and everyone is part of that medium, and therefore rejects the scenic division of who observes with who does it. "Húmedo" proposes a moment of listening, synesthesia and shared presence, in which the artists involved serve as conductors of a sensitive experience. We had the first presentation in December 2017 as a work progress and our proposal is to present the premiere at the Festival de La Imagem. The final presentation will have 3 specific parts: 1) soundscapes, 2) body and image, 3) interactivity.

      liquid city

Roberto Cuervo, César Hernández & Juan Gabriel Osuna / Pontificia Universidad Javeriana
      Manizales

Live multifocal audiovisual presentation of urban-soundscapes where the role of water as the articulating axis of the relationship between the urban peripheries and the center is highlighted. The sound discourse raises the blurry limits between the rural and the urban on the horizontal plane, and the rain as a disruptive element on the vertical plane, which radically transforms the urban-soundscape by falling on the skin of asphalt, concrete and metal of the city.

The work is composed of three sound languages proposed by each one of the artists, which propose a sound dialogue that narrates the various micro-sound-urban-soundscapes, through a rigorous sonographic record, which is reproduced and mixed in alive; the generation of abstract-soundscapes in analog synthesizers and digital signal processing in software and hardware; and the construction of liquid sound textures with musical instruments such as guitar and bass; the above is complemented by the projection of vector visuals that react with the audio in real time, generated with Pure Data, Max-vizzie, processing and infrared sensors from Kinect.

The result is a significant sound and visual experience that raises a critical reflection on the tensions in urban-soundscapes.

      quasar II

A galactic clump in deep space emits radio frequency waves and visible light; The advancement of technical transduction devices has allowed the human being to listen to the interpretation of these waves adapted for his hearing. In this work we explore this radio wave emission and from the sounds captured by NASA probes, the generation of pulses by electroluminescence and the creation of loops, we propose a cosmic journey of acousmatic imagination.

Cuásar tells us about sidereal objects that are millions of light years away, it is the image of the most remote and unfathomable past, it is the light of what we once were and it is the cosmic energy to which we will return. The visual work is a metaphor for the fabulous accumulation of light, which would propose a sum of light from all the images generated by human beings in the world (whose saturation would be assimilated to white noise) and its deconstruction into intermittent pulses, which allow us to freeze time and see how the frames are revealed simulating a zoetrope effect.
