      Catalina Alzate (she/her) is a Colombian designer, artist and educator, currently a Teaching Associate and MFA candidate at the School of Arts, Technology and Emerging Communication (ATEC) at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her practice is rooted at the intersection of social sciences, participatory design and Feminist science and technology studies. Her professional experience has been based in Colombia and India, where she has worked in community-based technology design, feminist participatory research, art-mediated pedagogy and collective decision-making.
