XVIII INTERNATIONAL IMAGE FESTIVAL
The central theme of the 18th International Image Festival will be Digital Humanism, and alludes to the interaction processes of the human being with the technologies that enable new mechanisms of citizen participation for dialogue, cultural and creative exchange, artistic co-creation contemporary, the production of open knowledge and the visibility of creative communities. Digital humanism places special emphasis on the need to include critical thinking as a transversal axis necessary for the use of information in real time for the analysis, understanding and evaluation of representations of the world.Initiatives that are developed in open laboratories and in the context of transdisciplinary practices will be privileged: bottom-up visions, open source, participatory design in communities, emerging collectives, conceptual hybridizations, transparent technologies, and digital archiving and conservation.
