XV INTERNATIONAL IMAGE FESTIVAL
The start of 2016 has drawn our attention to the power of nature and the impact of our actions on it. Some dry rivers, the shortage of some natural products and the evident change in the landscape and in our clothes, prompt us to think about new designs for our habitats, new rational practices and effective actions that reduce the impact of our movement around the Earth.
At the same time, our journeys through virtual and possible worlds, our interactions in cyberspace, our experiences on the Internet and our ways of conceiving and perceiving the world in a hybrid experience between the senses and bytes, forces us to think of digital environments that they are already the territory of the most significant concerns of the current century.
In accordance with these deep concerns, the XV International Image Festival will focus this year on Digital Citizenship and Eco-Actions, as a framework for Balance Unbalance 2016, an international event that is concerned with how Environmental Responsibility can be addressed from the interrelationship between arts, science and technology, already transversal themes of our Festival and that are aligned with our searches.
