IX INTERNATIONAL IMAGE FESTIVAL
The dynamics of a city that is transformed in images and media, sound experimentation processes in contemporary cities, the networks that determine new interactions with subjects, and the presence of design in the processes of art, science, and technology. , for the benefit of society, are some of the aspects addressed by the IX International Image Festival, an event that has emerged (for 13 years now) in the middle of the coffee-growing Andean mountains, and that seeks to position Manizales as a world hub of electronic arts.
The Festival is attended by designers, artists, communicators, engineers, musicians and people in general interested in image, sound and the media, who find multiple continuous activities that last until late at night. More than 50 activities between conferences, workshops, exhibitions and concerts come together, with 120 guests and 1,200 attendees. The IX International Image Festival highlights four thematic axes that are addressed in the event.
