RE:GENERATIVE
The International Image Festival, in its 24th edition, which is will take place from May 2 to 9, 2025, invites the academic community from artists, researchers, teachers, professionals, undergraduate students, and graduate students to participate in the academic and artistic calls whose theme central will be Re:generativeThis concept, which arises from a perspective of sustainability, involves thinking about transformative actions for the re- existence as an alternative to restore, renew, or rebuild affected environments and diffuse or invisibilized memories in a context of profound changes.
For 27 years, the Festival has been organized by the Department of Visual Design at the University of Caldas in Manizales, and since 2020, it has been held in partnership with Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, in Colombia. The following opportunities are open for participation in the event calls for proposals:

This time, we will hold the Festival in partnership with the Conference International Media Art History, which had its first edition in 2005 and has since gained significant recognition in various places the world: Banff 2005, Berlin 2007, Melbourne 2009, Liverpool 2011, Riga 2013, Montreal 2015, Krems/Vienna 2017, Aalborg 2019, São Paulo 2022, and Venice 2023. Recognizing the growing importance of art and technology, the goal is to involve the academic community from various disciplines to discuss the history of Media Art within the contexts interdisciplinary and intercultural.

CATEGORIES FOR APPLYING TO THE CALL
PAPERS: Research works and research + creation completed works that have not been finished for more than 3 years, or in development, of an original nature and that have not been presented at other events. academic. ACCREDITATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT
Each of the authors of the selected proposals must pay Individually, the registration for the event with a special rate, which includes the presentation, publication, and passport to attend all activities scheduled during the XXIV International Image Festival.
Terms
● The Festival does not cover travel, accommodation, or No provision of meals for speakers in any of the categories.
● Each author receives a certificate for their participation. In the case of multiple authorship, a certificate will be provided for each speaker.
Publication
The digital proceedings have an ISSN code. They publish the accepted presentations, panels, and posters through the call and supported during the execution of the event, in accordance with the guidelines for evaluation and accreditation. Authors must present their documents with the final revisions. The Festival does not is responsible for the style review of the submitted documents.

ARTISTIC CALLS
XXI MONOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION OF MEDIA ART
The Artistic Call aims to enhance the works of... creation linked to digital technologies that promote the... integration between design, art, science, and technology. It also promotes... The production and exhibition of collaborative developments through works. that include design, sound art, audiovisual creation, and exhibitions. concerts, performances, installations, among others.
Subcategories
● Exhibitions: Interactive installations and exhibits to be exhibited in artistic exhibition spaces, using languages that... articulate audiovisual, lighting, and sound dimensions visual, tactile; data-driven, machine collaborations human-agent collaborations, cinema, sound, among others.
● Monographic Exhibition of Media Art: Works in realities expanded realities (XR), apps, net art, among others.
● Cinema (&) Digital: Works of audiovisual creation that encompass... animation, film, video art, or micro-documentary. They will be carried out scheduled screenings in theaters and alternative spaces.
● Soundbridges: Sound works of up to 10 minutes in length duration and in octophonic format or lower, addressing themes... related to the concept Re:generative, such as the regeneration of ecosystems, the recovery of traditions cultural, the transformation of systems, or resilience in the face of global challenges.
A jury of experts will select the works to be included in the festival's programming.
CALL FOR EXHIBITIONS
The International Image Festival invites artists, designers, researchers, and creators to participate in the call for "exhibitions," a space dedicated to showcasing unpublished artistic works and experimental works.
Terms
● The Festival covers some of the mounting materials needed for to ensure the partial or complete display of the proposals selected. For this reason, the authors must submit the accurate information through technical riders at the time of submitting their application.
● The Festival does not cover travel, accommodation, or meals for the artists in none of the subcategories of the Artistic Call.
● Each author will receive a certificate for their participation.

CALL FOR CINEMA (&) DIGITAL
The International Image Festival invites filmmakers, animators, and visual artists to participate in the 'Cinema (&) Digital' call for submissions, a A space dedicated to exploring the confluence of cinema with the digital age. Works of animation, film, video art, and micro-documentaries, with a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum of 24 minutes, aiming to explore and redefine audiovisual narratives in the contemporary context.
In an era marked by digitalization and profound changes, the question: How is cinema transforming in this hyperconnected context? Under the theme "Re:generative", we seek works that not only question their relationship with the digital world, but also explore new aesthetic horizons, innovative production models, and forms creative exhibition and research methods. We encourage participants to reflect on how their creations can contribute to this vision. regenerative in the audiovisual field.
Parameters to follow for Cinema (and) Digital
● Is it registered in the Information and Registration System? Cinematographic Information and Registration System (SIREC)? (this registration is not mandatory) for the first part of the call, but it must be to be completed if selected).
