Graphic designer, photographer, and researcher, she is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Design at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and a PhD candidate in Design, Art, and Science at the same institution. Her academic career has focused on the image, photography, archives, memory, and the preservation of photographic heritage. Her current research explores the relationship between image, optical science, and design through approaches such as media archaeology. She has received national awards in photography and research grants, including the National Cultural Heritage Photography Award (2012) and the Santander Young Professors Program (2015). Her work has been exhibited in both the Americas and Europe, and she actively participates in the Image Studies Research Group and the memory-focused collective a-saltos de la memoria. Since 2002, she has combined creative practice, teaching, and research, bringing together visual practices and critical thinking.
