
Raquel Pelta is a design historian, researcher, and professor at the University of Barcelona. She holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts and has an academic background in Geography and History, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising, and Social Work. Her research focuses on social design, co-design, and innovation in humanitarian contexts, and she has collaborated with various universities and public institutions in Spain and abroad.
She is the author of numerous publications and has curated exhibitions at institutions such as the Design Museum of Barcelona and the MuVIM. Founder of the digital magazine Monográfica and former editor of Visual, she has been recognized with the Gràffica Award and the Laus Honorary Award for her outstanding contributions to the study and dissemination of design in the Spanish-speaking world.
