Pat Badani is a Canadian artist, writer, and academic born in Argentina. Her four-decade practice bridges art, science, and technology to explore art as object, medium, and social critique. She imaginatively addresses queer ecology and object relations, often using food to create photo-sculptural works examining ecology, poetics, and technology.

Awarded 20 grants and prizes, Badani exhibits globally and has presented at international symposia in 15+ countries. Former editor of *Media-N* (US) and *Artelogie* (France), she teaches at Illinois State University and Columbia College Chicago. Her research appears in *Leonardo* (MIT Press) and *International Journal of Performance and Digital Art* (Routledge), among others. Since 2017, she serves on ISEA International’s Board, overseeing their annual symposia.
