The European Media Art Network (EMAN) was founded in 2007. EMAN developed out of the European Media Artists in Residence Exchange (EMARE), a project that began in 1995. The network annually awards production grants to leading European media artists and supports the research, production, presentation and distribution of media in Europe and beyond.
