22 studio (22) is a transdisciplinary design practice co-founded and co-directed by Marién Vélez and Nasheli Ortiz. Our intention is to tackle relevant problems in communities and cities through design processes. We work with architectural, scenic and social lighting design; fashion design, stage design and public art.
Nicole and Lauren are co-founders of The Residency, a global learning collective of civil servants, civil society, and social designers/innovators, that elevates multidisciplinary and cross-sector practice to tackle complex problem problems.
Taller Creando Sin Encargos is a design collective founded in 2012, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico led by Yazmín M. Crespo MArch, Omayra Rivera PhD, and Irmaris Santiago MArch. The collective has developed participatory design-build projects titled Arquitecturas Colectivas. Our mission is to investigate, construct and support architecture that promotes equity in all scenarios. We look at how design and architecture can have agency in the ideation and construction of spaces.
