Paz Tornero

Paz Tornero, born in Spain, holds a Ph.D. in Art from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University and the MIT Media Lab. She is an expert in fields related to art and science, digital humanities, technological art and transdisciplinary practice. Her projects have been shown in international festivals and galleries. She has had the privilege of publishing in prestigious international journals and being invited as a panelist in conferences in the above mentioned fields. Reviewer of national and international publications, as well as in electronic arts festivals. Member of international review boards for academic exchange and artistic research. She has been artist in residence in art and science and art research programs. Professor at UTPL and USFQ, both in Ecuador, and visiting professor at the University of Caldas in Colombia and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Murcia. Currently, she teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Granada where she is part of the extradisciplinary group DIYBio OpenBio Lab GRX.
