"Banish"

Banishing is a video installation, a triptych, that gives voice to three Colombian victims of forced displacement, but instead of focusing on the violent acts they suffered, it focuses on some of their routines before and after displacement, showing how were and are their lives.

In the stories they share with us, there is evidence of many activities that constitute the routines of a large part of the Colombian population, which invites us to think about what is common to all of us. Plastically, the work intends, from the installation, which is a spatially located configuration, to point out that there are people who have lost their home, which is our existential location, due to forced displacement.
