attractor (made up of Juan Cortés, Alejandro Villegas, Juan José López and Juan Camilo Quiñones) is an interdisciplinary studio from Bogotá, Colombia. The group is specialized in electronics, sound synthesis, sound, programming and creation of installations and machines, combining analog and digital technology. The collective designs and develops sound installations and experiences that seek to question the diffuse barriers between the humanities and scientific disciplines.

The group has exhibited in countries such as France, the United States, Spain, Mexico, England, Colombia, Germany and Belgium. In top-level institutions such as FACT (Liverpool), CCCB (Barcelona), MoMA (New York), Center 104 (Paris) among others. In 2018, with Juan Cortés as representative of the group, they were awarded in the international competition Collide de Arts at Cern. This award was accompanied by an invitation to go on a world tour together with various artists chosen by CERN entitled Broken Symmetries, which is currently premiering at the CCCB, Barcelona. In 2019 Atractor is awarded the Present/Future award for electronic and digital arts in China.

Atractor has also been characterized by a significant interest in pedagogical processes, developing free and open workshops for children and young people in all countries where they hold exhibitions and concerts.
